Asthma or Fungal infection?
A cat we adopted had been coughing the entire time we had him. Took him to the vet and they said it’s probably asthma but the only way to know is by figuring out what treatment works for him (in more words than that 😂) The meds don’t work (he spits them out) and we get an X-ray and an antibiotic shot. We also get new steroids. The blood work shows chronic inflammation and the X-ray shows a snowstorm pattern in his lungs, vet says it could be asthma or maybe even a fungal infection (but we live in the wrong state for it according to her). After the last vet visit, the coughing has come to a full stop, but now kitty is congested and sneezing/wheezing. We have a follow up appointment, but just wanted to get any kind of advice or thoughts as to whether it is asthma or fungal 🙏 X-ray included, left is our cat, right is normal cat
TLDR- we’re not sure if our cat has asthma or a fungal infection and are looking for advice. TIA!
